Batteries
WE NEED TO RECYCLE
International Marine Salvage Inc., through it's Raw Materials Division is fully permitted to receive and process all waste battery types on site, under the Ministry of Environment Permit # A120316
The most common sources of dry cell battery waste are from the following items; portable radios, flashlights, smoke alarms, pagers, cell phones, laptop computers, UPS systems, hearing aids, watches, automobiles, back up power systems, forklifts and emergency lights.
All of these battery types are recyclable today.
The metal components can all be reused, and although spent batteries comprise less than 1% of all landfill waste, they account for 88% of all toxic heavy metals found in landfills (i.e. mercury, cadmium, etc.).
Please keep these toxins out of the landfill and recycle your batteries with Raw Materials Company (A Division of International Marine Salvage Inc.). Additional information can be found on our website at www.rawmaterials.com
